(the Lodge of Saint David No.9135) was constituted in 1985 under charter from The United Grand Lodge of England.

Our lodge meets at the beautiful Kidderminster Masonic Centre, and is the only Welsh lodge in the Masonic Province of Worcestershire, and one of the few lodges in England that has a Welsh emphasis.

The Lodge of St. David was founded by masons with Welsh origins or family connections and those who have an affinity for Wales. We maintain a strong Welsh 'flavour' to our meetings, with some portions of our ceremonies being performed in the Welsh language. We also, of course, warmly welcome new members who don't have Welsh heritage.

Our meetings consist of two distinct parts. Firstly, the formal lodge meeting, held in the lodge room, at which the traditional ceremonies and other items of lodge business take place and, secondly, the formal dinner which follows all of our meetings - known to masons as the 'Festive Board'. The festive board takes place in the adjacent dining room in an atmosphere of happiness, peace and harmony and there is, usually a three- or four-course dinner, accompanied by wine. During the course of our festive board there are a number of toasts and responses, and it is our custom for the brethren to sing in gymanfa ganu form under the enthusiastic and infectious supervision of our Director of Music.

As may be expected from a Welsh lodge, we place great emphasis on the celebration of the memory of our patron saint, Dewi Sant (Saint David) at our meeting held on the fourth Friday in February each year. The meeting at Kidderminster is always extremely well attended by visiting brethren from the rest of the Province and beyond.

Cyfrinfa Dewi Sant is renowned for the warmth of the welcome extended to visitors from other lodges, and to new members. Our members come from an eclectic mix of backgrounds, including Business Management, the Licensed Trade, Art, Accountancy, Transport, Law, Banking, Sales, Teaching, Project Management, and the Emergency Services.

Our Regular Meetings take place every 4th Friday in September (our Installation meeting), November, February and April. Please take a look at our Events Calendar to check the dates of our other events. Some of our events are open to non-members and non-masons and a warm welcome awaits anyone who would like to know more about what we do.

In addition to our Regular Meetings, we also have meetings for the instruction of members and rehearsal of our ceremonies, committee meetings and family social events which include formal black tie events (as above) and luncheons.

Our Regular Lodge Meetings are held at:

Kidderminster Masonic Centre, Chester Road North, Kidderminster DY10 1TH

Kidderminster Masonic Centre is located in close to the borders of Worcestershire, the West Midlands, Birmingham, Staffordshire and Shropshire, creating easy access to and from most parts of the Midlands and Wales.
